This Wrightslaw Special Education Law and Advocacy Conference, a Wrightslaw training program with Pete Wright, Esq., is sponsored by Mount Sinai SEPTO, Inc.
The program will be held at the Holiday Inn Long Island in Holtsville, NY on Thursday, November 2, 2023.
These one-day special education law and advocacy programs focus on four areas:
- special pedagogic law, rights and obligations
- tests and metrics to measure progress and regression
- SMART IEP
- an introduction to tactics and strategies for effective defense
Wrightslaw programs are designed to meet the needs of parents, educators, health care providers, advocates and attorneys who represent children with disabilities in the field of special education. The program is not disability specific.
The registration fee includes: A light breakfast, a full lunch, a Wrightslaw highlighter, three Wrightslaw books – Wrightslaw: Special Education Law, 3rd Edition, Wrightslaw: From Emotion to Advocacy, 2nd Edition, and Wrightslaw: All About IEPs provided the morning of the conference and then, within a week of the program, Wrightslaw will email these three books to each participant in adobe.pdf format. Three print and pdf books retail for $103.70.

Credits: 0.6 CEUs (Continuing Education Units) through Delta State University have been approved. The cost is $20 and is payable by training check only.
