Dr. Vanessa B. Beasley, president of Trinity University since July 2022, is committed to ensuring that Trinity is nationally recognized as a leader in liberal arts education. This includes a commitment to a student experience that includes interdisciplinary experiential learning and undergraduate research. She previously served as associate dean for academic affairs, dean of residential faculty, and associate professor of communication studies at Vanderbilt University. Beasley has been recognized for her teaching and mentorship at every university she has worked for. She is the current president of the Rhetorical Society of America.
