Dr. Kizzmekia S. Corbett, assistant professor of immunology and infectious diseases at the Harvard TH Chan School of Public Health, has been an important part of American health since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic. Her National Institutes of Health team played a critical role in developing the vaccine. Corbett’s patent portfolio includes universal coronavirus and influenza vaccine concepts and novel therapeutic antibodies. She is the recipient of several prestigious awards, including the Benjamin Franklin Next Gen Award and the Salzman Memorial Award in Virology. In addition to research, Corbett is an engaged mentor and advocate for STEM education.
