“Poet of Code” Dr. Joy Buolamwini founded the Algorithmic Justice League, where she is the lead artist and president, to create a world with more just and responsible technology. It uses art and research to illuminate the social implications of artificial intelligence (AI). Previously, Buolamwini was a MAS-affiliated research assistant at the MIT Media Lab. Her TED Talks feature on algorithmic bias has been viewed over 1 million times.
